Campground Rules

Tuft’s Bay Campground includes both electric and non-electric camp sites available both for individual and group camping options.  Campers will have access to the boat launch, the beach and modern and clean washroom/shower facilities.  By reserving and camping at Tuft’s Bay Campground, Campers agree to the following:

Check In/Check Out

1.      Check in time is any time after 1pm on the day of arrival.  Please register with the Campground Office at Site 34 upon arrival to the Campground.

2.      Campers must check out before 11am on the day of departure. We ask that you ensure that your site is clean and all garbage and recycling is properly disposed of.

3.      When vacating the campsite at the end of your stay, the campsite holder must remove all personal property and restore the campsite to its original condition.  Failure to do so may result in charges to the registered campsite holder.

site occupancy

1.      Campers and guests must register at the Tuft’s Bay Campground Office (Site 34) for the duration of their stay.

2.      Campsites are non-transferrable.

3.      Any quests staying at a site are subject to the same rules as the registered Camper at the site.

4.      Each campsite may include one (1) Recreational Vehicle, two (2) tents, and one (1) dining tent.

5.      All vehicles, boats or other recreational equipment (i.e. quads, kayaks etc…) must be contained within the campsite, or in the area immediately adjacent to the registered campsite.

6.      Vehicles, including guests who are visiting for the day, must always be parked in designated parking areas or at the campsites.  No parking on any campground lanes or roads.

CAmpfires

1.      Campfires are only permitted in registered campsites, within the provided fire pit.  Outside firewood is prohibited. Firewood can be purchased from the campground operator (site 34).  Campfires may be prohibited if a general fire ban is in effect.

Washrooms, showers, Water, RV septic disposal

1.      Clean and modern washrooms with showers are just a short walk from each campsite.  We encourage campers and quests to avoid wasting water and do not leave the taps running after use.

2.      At all times, if there is a concern with any of the bathrooms (i.e. paper products need to be refreshed, a malfunction of the toilet or sink or the bathroom needs to be cleaned), please notify the campground operator (site 34) immediately.

3.      The washrooms use a septic disposal system.  Only the toilet paper provided should be flushed.  We ask all campers and visitors to be mindful of this.

4.      Cold, potable water is available at the Washroom/Shower building at the outside tap.  Please do not leave the water running after use.

5.      Campers in RV’s who need to fill their water tanks or “dump” their grey/black water, can contact the Campground office (site 34) and can arrange to have their tanks filled/dumped (at an additional cost).

Pets

1.      Pets are welcome but must be leashed and under control at all times.  You are responsible for your pets behavior and for properly disposing of their waste into a garbage receptacle.

Swimming/kayaking/boating

1.      All water activities are self-supervised.  There is no life guard in the bay and therefore remind all campers and guests that everyone at the beach or in the water should exercise caution and ensure that any children are supervised at all times.

2.      There are clear areas designated for swimming only, and anyone operating a boat, canoe, kayak or other water craft is prohibited in the swimming area.

3.      Pets are not allowed on the beach without being leashed and under control, and owners are fully responsible to dispose of any waste.

4.      At all times, treat the public space with respect and leave it a condition that others sharing the beach can enjoy even after you leave.
